I came for breakfast one morning. Loved the food, the staff and the vibe and have been a happy regular since! One of my favorite memories of my grandfather when I was a young tyke was going with him to to his favorite cafe for breakfast each morning. We'd sit at his favorite table, he'd drink his coffee from the cup the wait staff had designated as 'his' and I'd eat my meal while he visited with the staff and other customers. In the Freeland Cafe I've found all of the same traditions and friendship enjoyed by my grandfather... but with much better food!! This spring Freeland Cafe added a large selection of barbecue to their menu... and WOW is it good! Racks of ribs, brisket, whole chicken, pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches... and the sides!!! Soooo good!
Everything you'd hope to get at a small-town cafe! The fish and chips were a 20/10! Light and crispy on the outside, tender and delicious on the inside. The bacon and blue burger was also A+! First time there but we'll be back. Breakfasts look like a definite try for our next trip. Super friendly, attentive service worth leaving a fat tip!
Had one of the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Cooked to perfection and the pancake was fluffy and delicious.
